Problems with Cirque Du Soleil tickets

Has anyone else had problems getting hold of La Nouba tickets?

I've had nothing but problems with the Omniticket site (the official Cirque Du Soleil ticket site) culminating in a technical error message at the very end of the ordering process on Monday which has left me with no clues as to whether I have reserved seats or not.

Emails to both Omniticket and Cirque Du Soleil have gone unanswered and this is really not the service I was expecting from one of the must-see shows in the "Magic" capital of the world.

We saw Cirque Du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall, London, at the beginning of the year and it was fantastic but this unfortunate episode is giving me second thoughts.

Sorry, can't help you with the on-line service. I called them on the phone when I bought tickets and had no issues. Didn't even know you could buy on-line. Hope it all works out for you.

I also called instead of purchasing on line. I had ten of us going. so I wanted to talk to a real person. There were absolutely no problems. They all LOVED the show!

I've ordered Cirque tickets (Varekai) before using their online system and never had any problems. I'd definitely resort to calling at this point, and if another charge shows up on your statement for your online attempts you can always dispute it with the credit card company.

I've had problems also. I ordered my tickets a short time ago and kept getting the error message. On one attempt, however, I did get all the way through the ordering process and got a confirmation number, which I saved. That was it though, no confirmation email or anything. They did charge my credit card, so I assume it went through okay. I hope my tickets are waiting when I get there in July!

I have had intermittant problems with online booking, both for "O" in Vegas and "La Nouba" in DTD, but I was always able to get it done. Cirque sub-contracts the online booking out, and it is definitely not up to Cirque standards. A phone call is probably your best answer.

Also, in case you didn't see my earlier post, La Nouba is being broadcast this Saturday at 8 PM Eastern on Bravo.

I would sure call Cirque and be sure your tickets are okay! Those shows usually sell out completely, and if you just hope for the best, you may be disappointed.

You saw one of the travelling shows - Allegria, I would guess. The resident shows are MUCH better than the travelling shows because the entire theater is built for that specific show. You won't believe the difference!

Be persistent and go see La Nouba!

My travel agent called the Cirque ticket office and ordered my tickets for me. She said that after the customer service representative took the order, including my credit card number, the computer system would not issue a confirmation number. The customer service rep. had to hang up, get assistance from the help desk, and then call my travel agent back. It worked out in the end, but there were several minutes of confusion about whether or not my ticket order had been processed.

Good news! The Disney Box Office have been in touch and while my booking didn't go through online they have now reserved new seats for me while I check with my bank that my card hasn't already been charged.

The new seats aren't quite as close to the action as the one's I thought I'd booked myself but I'm not one to quibble - I've read a number of reports that there's not a bad seat in the house anyway and the contact from Disney has restored my faith in the Nagic.

My girlfriend had wanted to see Cirque du Soleil for some time and while holidaying in Vegas last year we didn't manage to get anything booked in time so were rather pleased when we got back to find they were playing in London (we live just outside.) It was Dralion we saw at the Royal Albert Hall and it was quite amazing.

After the comments here we really are quite looking forward to La Nouba again - thanks for everyone's thoughts.

It does seem strange that an organisation of such high standards as Cirque should allow an important link between themselves and their audiences to be of such poor quality. It would appear from yours and other comments that my bad experience was not just a one-off.

Anyway I'm much happier now and will be sure to report back after the holiday.

Well what can I say - I'm so glad Disney sorted out the ticket problem.

The show was phenomenal, absolutely amazing acrobatics, fantastic music, superb performers and just an incredibly entertaining evening.

We're already researching our next Cirque Du Soleil show!

Hhhmmmm. interesting. I've been trying on line for 2-3 days now and never even getting to the point where I could order. just error messages about the site problems So I popped over here to this DIS board and did a search, and found this thread!

I booked online very easily last fall when ordering tix for DD, DS and DDIL for our Jan 05 trip. Now DH and DD and I are going for Xmas and I want to order for us! I don't like having to pay for a phone call. and I like the feature on the website where you can see the seating plan and know what your ordering. Hope they can do that over the phone.

Thanks for the info!

When you order over the phone you can NOT select your seats. When the CM puts the request into the computer, it spits out the best seats available. I can tell you that I've sat up close and I've sat in the very last row (section 204, jj 17 &18) and loved it form both areas. Though it was easier to get out from the top row, I was close to an exit and didn't have to wait at all. I love the show.
